What’s New In Geeky TV For July

July is here and so is a new round of geeky TV. Set your recorders and check out what is new and returning for the month.

July 16

Geeks Who Drink (Syfy 11:00 PM) – Zachary Levi, star of NBC’s Chuck and upcoming Heroes Reborn, is the executive producer and host of Geeks Who Drink. In each installment of Geeks Who Drink, two teams of self-proclaimed “trivia geeks” battle it out in rapid-fire quizzes that cover topics from pop culture to science fiction.  Each team consists of three players – a celebrity team captain and two trivia pros.  After three rounds of raucous game-play and (mostly) friendly competition, the winning team will earn bragging rights, a spot on the Geeks Who Drink leader-board and a bevy of prizes to geek out over.

Reactor (Syfy 11:30 PM) – David Huntsberger (co-host of the Professor Blastoff podcast) hosts this blend of talk show and comedy, with a focus on pop culture in general and science fiction in particular.

July 19

Tut (Spike 9:00 PM) – History geeks can a enjoy a three night mini-series starring Ben Kingsley, as Grand Vizier, about the boy who became a king, despite many obstacles.
