I am writing this up while I’m on lunch at work. As you may be aware, there is a small little film called The Hunger Games:Catching Fire that came out last week and made an amazing 159 million dollars over the weekend, setting the record for the biggest November opening in the History of forever.
Today is Thanksgiving, the day when we all gather together and eat too much and laugh too much and give thanks for all that we have. I am doing that as well. Then, at 4pm, I go to work where I will toil until the wee hours of the night, crash for a couple of hours and then get up and work a 10 hour shift on that most material of days, affectionately called Black Friday.
I have been spending almost every waking hour this week working and pointing young, hormonal teenage girls in the right direction and the right theater so they can enjoy The Hunger Games and I will be doing that same thing from now until Sunday night.
In all the hectic and chaotic throngs of people and work, I have not been able to put together a new column for this week. I am very sorry for that, but since this is a Holiday and most of you will be spending it with friends and family, I hope and trust you will find it in your heart to forgive me.
I will be back next Thursday with a brand new column and I will cover not only the films coming out but I will also share a few paragraphs about the films that are coming out this week as well.
I wish each and every one of you a wonderful Holiday and maybe I’ll see you at the movies, and if you do see me, offer me a napkin so I might wipe my weary brow.
Until next week…..
Keep the Projector Threaded.
